Walks take place on Tuesdays and alternate between mornings and afternoons. Everyone is welcome, including dogs, so if you would like to come along then we will be delighted to see you. Specific information about each months walks including the time and meet point will be available each month.

About the event
Our April walk will start at 2pm on Tuesday 28th April outside the Bell Inn at Golden Green. There is adequate free parking on the nearby roads, but please car-share where possible. We shall take the footpath through the hedge at the junction of Three Elms Land and Hartlake Road and walk through the orchards of Hadlow Place Farm, the fruit trees of which should be in full flower in late April. We shall turn east where the footpath forks to Hartlake Road, and along a short stretch of road verge to Hartlake Bridge, where thirty hop-pickers tragically drowned in October 1853. We shall then trek west along the towpath of the River Medway, past the remains of a World War Two spigot mortar, to the footpath that runs north, a short distance west of Porter’s Lock.
