Walks take place on Tuesdays and alternate between mornings and afternoons. Everyone is welcome, including dogs, so if you would like to come along then we will be delighted to see you. Specific information about each months walks including the time and meet point will be available each month.

About the event
Our first walk of 2026 will be a local walk through our ancient woodland. It will begin at 10am on Tuesday 24th March at the Moody Mare on Seven Mile Lane where there will be plenty of free parking. We shall walk along the Red Way, past South-East Water’s Beech Reservoir, the Grain Store and Mark Beech, before turning off to walk through the old quarries towards Keeper’s Cottages. The quarries were where Roman remains were found more than a hundred years ago. From Keeper’s Cottages we shall walk via the military training ground and Viking Oak, before emerging on Seven Mile Lane opposite Mereworth Lawn. After crossing Seven Mile Lane we shall take the path south through Roadside Wood and the wild daffodil patch all the way down to New Pound. The walk will take about two hours and is six kilometres.
